Writers and Social Networking

[ 0 ] September 14, 2012 |

I’m featured on Rebecca Bradley’s great blog talking about social networking and how writers should use it.

In a nutshell, writers should not exclusively use Twitter and Facebook for endless streams of promotional tweets with links to their books. That’s:

a) Very irritating

b) A waste of time

c) A waste of a great opportunity

Twitter and other social media give you a fantastic opportunity to engage with people, to network and show the world what an interesting individual you are. Who wants to be friends with someone who does nothing but yell ‘Buy my book’ all day?

Nobody, that’s who.
