Catch Your Death is Catching Up
It’s been a very exciting week. After Killing Cupid entered the Top 100 last week, I very quickly became obsessed with getting into the Top 50. Well, that happened today. Earlier, we were no 45; just dipped a little to 46. I will post updated sales figures for May in the next few days but it’s almost 1900 for Cupid, up from 540 last month.
And if that wasn’t enough, Catch Your Death is on the verge of breaking into the top 200 after just two weeks. It’s currently at no 210, and no 30 in suspense, meaning we have two books in the suspense top 30. The interesting thing is that apart from a couple of posts on here and Facebook, we haven’t promoted CYD at all. So the people buying it – 300 of them so far – must be people who have read KC and liked it. That gives me a warm glow in my cockles.
I have some great guest posts and interviews lined up but have been so crazily busy. I have also just done an interview for a proper print magazine.
Oh, and we have a very exciting project to announce in the next few days. I can’t reveal anything right now but it involves us and some very big writers including Saffina Desforges, J Carson Black, Victorine Lieske and Scott Nicholson. It’s going to be awesome.

Well done! Two books are better than one for sales – imagine what it would be like with ten…
Lexi, it certainly works for the likes of Konrath, with nearly forty titles out.
As a cumulative total and an income earner it seems like a great idea. But his last sales figures were 38,000 a month total.
Of course we’d all love to be selling 38,000 a month.
But divide that by forty titles… I’d say there are many British indies here matching sales title for title! Maybe we all need to rant a bit louder?
No doubt the new deals Konrath and Eisler have done with Amazon will boost those figures substantially. The deal looks great and hopefully Amazon UK will start looking at its own charts in that respect and give some British indies a much deserved break.
But just in case they’re not making enough already I see Konrath and Eisler are now going to SELL their freely available blog commentary as an ebook on Amazon.
Another title, more exposure, a further boost to the algorthyms, and of course people some will actually buy it. Probably the same people who have already read the blogs…
Mind you, no question it’s a masterclass in talking the talk. It will probably end up at # 1…
Just seen ‘Killing Cupid’ is no 24 on paid Kindle and ‘Catch Your Death’ is no 27. Congratulations to you and Louise
